“As a European refugee during World War II, sewing was survival for my mother. And at the end of the war, she turned her skills into an art and passed on those skills to me. No matter what I did, my sewing machine was always set up in a corner of our home, and when I had the chance I was creating something with it”. Anita Sobelson
Anita Designs was started in 1999 by Anita Sobelson. Her designs are inspired by traditional patchwork with a wonderful twist. Taking a modern approach, Anita combines fabrics and trims, with luxurious texture and bold color. Then adds a touch of the unexpected with an animal print or suede to create a unique, beautiful, and sometimes striking, accent for the home. Her attention to detail and craftsmanship makes her collection extraordinary.
Since starting her company, Anita has worked with some of the top designers, decorators and fabric houses creating one of a kind pieces for their customers. She also enjoys meeting new customers at the many craft shows she attends in the Northeast.
"On these pages, you will find a sampling of my latest efforts. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them. They are truly a labor of love."
